FIELD TRIPS

Bring your pre-K, school-age children, church groups and scouting groups to Mountain Trail Rides for an educational field trip! Groups may visit our petting zoo and can choose one or more of the following activities:

1. 1. 1. 1. Horseback riding through open fields and wooded acres on the area’s best horses;

         2. Treasure hunting in our adventure cave;

         3. Gemstone mining in our custom made mining sluice.

         4. Hand-led horse rides (age appropriate)

         5. Wagon rides (must have advance notice).

We have a curriculum developed for each activity and age level and can emphasize science topics at your request. Visiting our petting zoo, farm animals, adventure cave and mining sluice are all part of the fun!

All of our activities are ideal for groups and offer educational experience while being lots of fun. If you are a parent, teacher, scout leader or the head of an organized group, you don’t want to pass up these opportunities to do something fun and educational with your kids!

We provide the animals, rocks, minerals, fossils, gemstones, arrrowheads, sharks teeth, great photo opportunities, educational entertainment and handwashing supplies. You provide box lunches or snacks and drinks. Cold drinks, snacks and souvenirs are available for sale in our gift shop.

Field trip duration is usually 2 hours, which includes one-half hour for lunch and time for fun and games. Groups of 15 or more receive special discount. To receive a group discount, reserve in advance and pay balances as one transaction.

Parents are encouraged to attend. Remember, all visitors to
Mountain Trail Rides are encouraged to wear sensible shoes!
